The COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) is an international organization, established in 1998, that aims to reduce the ever-growing gap between developed and developing countries through useful applications of science and technology. The Third World Academy of Sciences initiated the proposal for the formation of COMSATS under the leadership of Nobel Laureate, Dr. Abdus Salam. Envisioned as Pakistan’s first exclusive Institute of Information Technology and nationally ranked as the top-most university in the Computer Sciences and IT category, CUI is definitely one of the most sought-after universities by undergraduates and graduates alike.
